In celebration, the Louisiana Assistive Technology Access Network is bringing its Device Demonstration Center to the East Baton Rouge Parish Main Library on April 14, 2021 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
For 29 years as the federal Assistive Technology (AT) program, the Louisiana Assistive Technology Access Network (LATAN) has provided AT services and programs to individuals and families throughout the state. AT, which can include some durable medical equipment or DME, is best described as any device, tool, software, or application used to increase, maintain, or improve the quality of life of a person living with a disability or functional limitation.
LATAN’s mission is to help people of all ages to gain independence AT work, AT home, or AT school using assistive technology.
Join Us for the Technology for Life Expo to see the many cool and innovative AT devices used to help with activities of daily living, leisure and recreational activities, computer access and much more!
The Technology for Life Expo will also include a seminar on the Alternative Financial Program designed to help buy and/or borrow AT devices and equipment. Whether for school, community living, or performing duties on the job, LATAN provides Technology for Life!
